When I first got a smartphone, I only used it for calls and texts. I had no idea it could help me with so much more. Now I use the calendar feature to keep track of my son’s baseball games, and the GPS feature to get there and cheer him on. My smartphone simplifies my life and saves my information in one place.
The same goes for using an online health insurance account. It gives you more control over your health plan information.
It makes life easy
Think of your online account as an electronic filing cabinet. It keeps your documents safe and organized so you don’t have to. Plus, some online accounts let you sign up for email notifications that tell you when new information is posted.
Convenience when you need it
Your online account is with you whenever you need it.
Some accounts can be used to:
- Pay bills automatically so you’ll never miss a premium payment.
- Check on recent claims and explanation of benefits to see how much you owe.
- View and print your member ID card if you need a new one.
- Look up your medicine names and dosage.
- Review your benefits and coverage.
Like my phone’s calendar feature saves me the time of organizing a paper calendar, some online accounts let you sign up for paperless delivery of your health plan materials. That means less mail to sort through (and more counter space).
You can click here to learn about going paperless.
If you’re like me, you’re juggling enough already. (Which is why I love my smartphone.) Let an online account help you out. If you ever have questions about your account, your health plan is a phone call away.
